Painting

Here it is, my first painting. It's ok and I'm happy with it, not bad for a first attempt.

More photos from my exploration of Quebec City...

Quebec City - 2007 - Part 1

Here are the best of my photos from Quebec City that I took on a recent trip there. I really loved the city, it was beautiful and historic, a great place to photograph and explore.

More Cities - photos continued!

Here you will see a few more images from around Rome and Venice. The Trevi Fountain, the view of a canal from a gondola, and the view from inside the Bridge Of Sighs, the last look that many prisoners of the Doge saw before imprisonment in ancient Venice.

Photos of Sculptures

Here are some favourite photos of sculptures that I took at the Louvre in Paris.

The Blog and Why

Well, I've been toying with the idea of a blog for quite awhile and have dabbled over at Last FM getting a feel for it. I've decided to use this blog to be my artistic window to the world where I will post photos and art of mine into the void of the internet so I have an outlet to share and perhaps learn a thing or two. I've always been artistic yet I always seem to find new ways to stifle myself and distract myself from doing anything productive so here I am and I'm using you, my faceless friends, in order to propel me to actually do something about it. I'll leave my comments on so if you like it or hate it let me know. I'm not a professional by any means and I don't use sophisticated equipment. I'm just creative for creativity's sake. All photos shown are ones that I took personally with my own 5 megapixel digital camera, and all photos were taken free hand without the aid of any tri-pod. Also, I have not retouched, cropped, or changed the pictures in any way from their original form. They are just what was in front of me.

Here are two of my favourite photographs to start, the Eiffel Tower at dusk and a Venice canal in the afternoon.
